FAQ
This is my first time having my photos taken and I'm nervous!
The most important aspect to shooting is making everyone feel comfortable. This is a collaboration between the two of us. We will review the photos often to make sure we like what we're seeing and fix what we don't! Communication is key, so don't be afraid to let me know what you're thinking. My shooting style leans toward more of a relaxed, candid style, but I will be there to help guide your poses to ensure we get the perfect shot
Where are you based?
I am based in Rochester, NY. But I shoot all around the Greater Rochester Area.
What if I don't know where I want to shoot?
Over the years, I've scouted many locations and have created a long list of the best spots. Let me know if you're looking for more of a woodsy environment, or a warm, beachy look, an urban but rustic look, or anything else you can think of! I'm happy to provide my insight.
What kind of editing/retouching do you do?
Almost anything you can think of! Retouching includes blemish/texture work, brightening eyes, correcting skin discoloration, anything that you dislike, I can fix.
The more intense editing includes body modifications, fixing outfit malfunctions, and even switching around faces from one portrait to another (usually happens in big groups where one person likes one photo but the other likes another one- just have to merge them!). Whatever you need, I can help.
What should I bring to the shoot?
All you need is you! If you have any props from home that you'd like to include, definitely bring them. If we are shooting somewhere wet/muddy, maybe bring a change of shoes and a towel. A blanket may be a good idea as well, considering most of the places we shoot have no places to do an outfit change, so you'll have to resort to changing inside the car. Definitely bring water! Shooting in the sun or even on a cloudy day can wear you out, stay hydrated!
